Throughout mid-2026, the San Juan del Río municipal government maintained an intensive programme of infrastructure investment and community outreach. In June and July, Mayor Roberto Cabrera Valencia led several editions of itinerant service programs, including “Viernes en tu Comunidad” in Barrio de La Cruz, “Miércoles en San Pedro Ahuacatlán”, and sessions in Vaquerías and Lomo de Toro. These events provided direct assistance in health, agriculture, and social services, alongside local urban improvements like repainting road markings and planting trees. Infrastructure projects expanded during this period. In early July, the municipality began a 3.4 million-peso street rehabilitation in La Llave. By late July, the administration confirmed a near-190 million-peso budget for school facilities, road paving, water tanks, and property title regularisation. This included a 90 million-peso investment by the water utility JAPAM. Further funding was approved for five construction projects, and the state introduced a prepaid transit-card system for the municipal bus network on 1 August.
