The San Siro stadium in Milan is celebrating its centenary, marking 100 years since its inauguration on September 19, 1926. Originally designed by AC Milan president Piero Pirelli as an English-style venue without an athletics track, the stadium has grown from a 35,000-capacity facility to a landmark accommodating over 75,000 spectators.
