Santa Fe logistics and port development
Overview
The government of Santa Fe has initiated a strategy to boost exports by developing a Logistics Hub platform. This integrated approach aims to connect ports, airports, and fiscal warehouses to reduce logistical costs and improve the global competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
By September 2026, the province’s public port system and Free Trade Zone reported moving over 3.3 million tons. Significant growth was noted in southern terminals, particularly the Port of Rosario, which saw a 22.4% year-on-year increase. In Villa Constitución, Terminal II experienced a 28% rise in movement.
To support further expansion, the province has awarded the recovery of Terminal I to a business union for infrastructure projects related to Vaca Muerta. Additionally, the government is advancing a public tender to concession the Container and General Cargo Terminal of the Port of Santa Fe to attract specialized operators.
