Santa Fe student athlete educational initiatives

Overview

The Ministry of Education of Santa Fe has introduced a Comprehensive Accompaniment Regime for high-performance and federated student athletes. The program aims to prevent students from having to choose between academic studies and sporting careers by establishing the status of ‘student in accompanied educational trajectory’.

Under this initiative, schools, families, and sports institutions will collaborate to develop Individual Accompaniment Plans. These plans may feature personalized tutoring, adapted evaluation methods, and specific pedagogical strategies to manage the demands of training and competition.

Eligibility is restricted to athletes in third-degree confederations, members of the Argentine or Paralympic Olympic Committees, provincial sports program participants, and players in AFA tournament clubs. The program also includes the creation of a Provincial Registry of Federated Student Athletes and serves as part of the province’s preparations for the XIII South American Games in 2026.
