Banco Santander Brazil has initiated the cancellation of American Express cards issued by the bank. Customers have been notified via SMS and app messages that their cards will be terminated within five business days following an internal analysis. In a related development regarding card benefits, it has been noted that holders of The Platinum Card (TPC) issued by Brazilian banks, including Santander and Bradesco, are not eligible for the free Fast Track service at Madrid-Barajas Airport in Spain. While Spanish-issued Platinum cards include complimentary access to Aena Fast Track and Fast Lane priority security, Brazilian cardholders do not receive these automatic benefits. Instead, they may access expedited security by traveling in Business Class or by purchasing the service at a discount.
