SAP data center security upgrades in Germany
Overview
SAP has implemented Layer 1 encryption technology from Adva Network Security to protect connectivity between its German data centers in Walldorf and St. Leon-Rot. This infrastructure upgrade, which secures data at the optical transmission layer, has received approval from the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for information classified as ‘For Official Use Only’ (VS-NfD).
The solution is intended to defend against future quantum threats and support sovereign cloud foundations for regulated industries, critical infrastructure, and government agencies requiring high levels of digital sovereignty and compliance within Germany.
