SAS Starlink in-flight connectivity rollout
Overview
SAS has completed the installation of Starlink high-speed satellite internet across its entire fleet of 81 Airbus A320neo aircraft. The rollout, which began in March 2026, was finished within six months while maintaining regular flight operations.
The A320neo fleet represents approximately 70 percent of the airline’s total aircraft and serves as the backbone for operations within Scandinavia and Europe. The service utilizes low-Earth orbit satellites to provide high-speed connectivity with low latency. Through a partnership with telecommunications provider 3, EuroBonus members can access the service free of charge. SAS plans to continue the rollout to its remaining aircraft types by the end of 2026.
