Saudi Arabia public service accessibility initiatives
Overview
Saudi Arabia has implemented several initiatives to expand the accessibility of public services across the country.
In the holy sites, the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque launched an integrated system of 21 pilgrim care centers. Operating 24 hours a day, these centers provide multilingual guidance, lost and found assistance, luggage storage, and specialized support for the elderly and persons with disabilities. The initiative utilizes QR codes to help visitors locate services and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030.
Simultaneously, the Civil Affairs Agency has deployed mobile units to 54 locations through the ‘We Come to You’ and ‘Mawjoodeen’ initiatives. These units provide essential services to the government and private sectors, as well as to remote provinces and villages in regions including Al-Qassim, Asir, and Al-Baha.
