Saudi Financial Academy workforce development

Overview

Mana bin Mohammed Al-Khamsan, CEO of the Saudi Financial Academy, has highlighted the urgent need for professional skill development to address the rapid transformation of the Saudi financial sector. During the Money 20/20 Middle East conference, Al-Khamsan noted that the expansion of digital services and artificial intelligence requires professionals to possess more than just technical knowledge, emphasizing the importance of communication skills, ethical standards, and financial literacy to ensure true empowerment.

Following these calls for enhanced readiness, the Financial Academy launched five specialized training programs aimed at qualifying over 125 recent graduates. Developed in cooperation with the Sectoral Skills Councils, the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), and the Insurance Authority, these programs cover fields such as securities, corporate banking, cybersecurity, and insurance. This initiative is intended to align national talent with market needs and support Saudi Vision 2030.

Expanding its training scope, the Academy has launched the second edition of the ‘Shaping the Future of Saudi Financial Media’ program in Riyadh. Held in partnership with the Saudi Broadcasting Authority from October 18 to October 22, the initiative involves 30 trainees, including media professionals and financial specialists. The curriculum focuses on economic fundamentals, interpreting government reports, writing economic news, and using digital tools and artificial intelligence to create specialized content, aiming to enhance economic awareness within the Kingdom.
