Seasonal pumpkin festivals in the United States

Seasonal pumpkin-themed community events and festivals are being held across various regions in the United States.

Initial activities included local gatherings such as a pumpkin patch party in Bountiful, Utah, and a giant pumpkin weigh-off in the Ohio Valley.

Subsequent celebrations in Ohio have expanded to include large-scale festivals like Jack-O’-Lantern World in Lake Zurich, which features thousands of hand-carved pumpkins and massive displays, as well as the Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow, which focuses on light-based seasonal displays for families.

Recent developments in Ohio show a continuation of these autumn traditions. Jack-O’-Lantern World has returned to Paulus Park for its sixth year, featuring a three-quarter-mile trail through seven acres of illuminated pumpkins. Notable displays include a 40-foot whale, a 40-foot mustang, and a 2,220-pound pumpkin, alongside a ‘Museum of Incredible Jack-O’-Lantern Art’ showcasing work by over 50 artists.

Other regional events include the Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow at Heritage Park, which emphasizes seasonal play and light-based displays. Additionally, Hamilton is hosting Operation Pumpkin to showcase large-scale sculptures, while Cincinnati’s downtown area features the Blink Festival of Art & Light.
