The Mexican Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (Secihti) has entered into multiple strategic partnerships to advance technological and scientific capabilities in the country. Initially, Secihti signed a Framework Collaboration Agreement with the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry (Canifarma). Additionally, Secihti signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to develop specialized talent in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. This initiative aims to integrate advanced computing into scientific disciplines such as biology, energy, and climate science through academic workshops and knowledge exchange, providing researchers with the infrastructure necessary to process complex datasets.
