SEGA Crazy Taxi: World Tour rollout

In late July 2026, SEGA announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour, a new entry in the franchise slated for a 2027 release on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and other major platforms. The reveal highlighted a story‑driven World Tour campaign featuring Axel chasing thieves across five global cities, along with extreme driving mechanics, customizable vehicles, an arcade mode revisiting classic gameplay, and multiplayer features.

Later the same day, SEGA opened applications for a Closed Network Test of the game’s online modes. The test, scheduled for 11–13 September 2026 (UTC 00:00‑14 September), will let selected players try Pickup Race and Cops ’N’ Cabbies on two maps, including a newly shown West Coast map with real‑world storefronts. The test supports cross‑play across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5 and Steam, and offers four characters and six cars.
