Seismic activity across southern Italy has persisted since late May 2026, with a series of shallow tremors, a deep offshore magnitude‑6.1‑6.2 quake on 2 June, and swarms around the Campi Flegrei volcanic complex. On the night of 24 July a magnitude‑4.1 event near Pizzone in Molise caused residents to flee homes but resulted in no injuries or damage.
