Formula 1 driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez is scheduled to perform a ‘Show Run’ on Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City on October 28 at 10:00 am. The event, organized by the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and the Mexico Grand Prix with local government support, celebrates Pérez reaching the milestone of 300 Grand Prix starts. Pérez, who currently drives for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, will pilot a single-seater through the iconic avenue, with a route potentially spanning between the Diana Cazadora roundabout and the Angel of Independence. The exhibition is expected to be free to the public and may attract approximately 100,000 spectators. The event serves as a precursor to the Mexico City Grand Prix, which is scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 1 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. This appearance also marks the first time the Cadillac team has participated in a Show Run in Mexico during its debut season. As the milestone approaches, Pérez has acknowledged the shift in competitive dynamics since his time with Red Bull Racing. Now driving for Cadillac, he noted that securing points may be more challenging and expressed that the experience might feel different for fans who are accustomed to seeing him fight for victories. “It is difficult to digest for a fan because they want to see me win and in the fight... Now it is a different story, but they understand it completely,” Pérez stated, while noting the upcoming busy period of consecutive races in the United States and Mexico.
