Sexual harassment investigation of Carlos Caicedo

Authorities are currently examining the origins of the allegations, specifically investigating whether a journalistic report acted as a catalyst or if there was prior coordination to initiate the scandal. Investigators are also looking into unverified claims concerning a possible 20 million peso payment to journalists. Notably, officials have observed that seven months after the public disclosure, the alleged victims have not yet appeared before the Prosecutor's Office to provide direct testimony. Caicedo's defense team has requested meetings with the delegated prosecutor, though officials state that no plea agreements or negotiations have been established.
