Overview

SICK has launched the sensingCam SEC200, a camera-based code reader designed for 1D and 2D identification within industrial and logistics environments. The device utilizes a 1.3-megapixel camera module to read codes at distances between 100 and 300 mm, regardless of orientation.

To assist inexperienced operators, the reader provides acoustic signals and green LED feedback. The hardware is housed in an IP65-rated industrial casing to protect against water and dust. Setup is managed via an integrated web server, and the device supports USB and Ethernet connectivity. Additionally, the product includes a cloning function for parameter consistency and adheres to the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) for cybersecurity.
