SKUAST-K international research placements

Overview

Students from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) have secured international research opportunities in East Asia.

In August 2026, six undergraduate and postgraduate students obtained fully funded research internships through the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP). These scholars were placed at the National Changhua University of Education, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, and National Dong Hwa University to gain exposure to advanced scientific technologies.

By September 2026, additional students from the university secured research fellowships in Japan. These placements include the JST-LOTUS Fellowship and a Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship. The researchers will focus on molecular biology, biotechnology, and plant pathology to address nutritional challenges and crop stresses.
