In early July 2026, Slovak police intensified checks on drivers suspected of substance use, particularly around large public events and summer tourism. Police also recovered a container of a dried green substance from the vehicle, and criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the unlawful possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances.
