Slovenia healthcare accessibility expansion

The Slovenian government has amended the Decree on Mandatory Health Insurance service programs for 2026 to improve healthcare accessibility. Health Minister Tadej Ostrc noted that these measures aim to direct resources to patient needs and reduce pressure on hospitals and emergency centers. Additionally, legislation is being drafted for a state fund to finance treatments for rare childhood diseases.
