Slovenia Nations League campaign: Match vs North Macedonia
Overview
The Slovenian national football team is continuing its UEFA Nations League Group B1 campaign under head coach Boštjan Cesar. The squad remains without striker Benjamin Šeško, who is sidelined with a shin injury, leaving the offensive responsibility to players such as Andraž Šporar, Aljoša Matko, and Danijel Šturm.
Slovenia enters its fixture against North Macedonia at Stožice Stadium following a draw against Scotland. Both teams are searching for their first victories in the competition to improve their group standings. North Macedonia, coached by Goce Sedloski, faces pressure after a loss to Switzerland and a nine-match winless streak, prompting Sedloski to signal potential tactical changes in attack.
Discussions regarding the match environment persist, with former player Mitja Viler previously criticizing the atmosphere at Stožice Stadium and suggesting a move to Ljudski vrt to secure more intense fan support.
