In late July 2026, the municipality of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez highlighted its civil-registry network. On 28 July, marking Mexico's National Civil Registry Day, officials reaffirmed commitments to legal identity through eight strategic offices. Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz noted high demand for services, including birth registrations and free marriages, with some offices offering services directly at residents' homes. Following this, the municipality expanded protections for women affected by gender-based violence by opening three facilities: the Centro LIBRE, which provides psychological, social, legal, and economic aid; a forthcoming State Secretariat delegation; and the “Esperanza” temporary shelter. On 2 August, municipal services and the municipal guard responded to intense rain and strong winds, rescuing seven passengers from a stranded bus on the Puente Naranja; officials described the incident as a “white balance” as no injuries occurred. On 5 August, the municipality opened the 3,000 m² Centro Integral para la Capacitación y el Deporte in the San Francisco colonia. On 28 August, the Municipal Economic Development Directorate met with the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (CANIRAC) to support the local restaurant sector. By 31 August, the municipality upgraded its emergency response capabilities with new radiocommunication equipment. On 13 September, the Municipal Civil Protection System reported an estimated 80 percent compliance rate regarding internal safety programs. On 24 September, the municipal government implemented permanent inspection tours to regulate commercial activity and public spaces. Under the direction of Mayor Navarro Muñiz, the Municipal Commerce Directorate reported that over 80 percent of approximately 14,000 operating licenses are valid, alongside a registry of 2,763 street and plaza vendors. Director María Lidia Hernández Hernández noted that approximately 122 infractions have been issued for regulatory non-compliance during these inspections.
