Solomon Islands-India bilateral cooperation

Overview

The Solomon Islands is pursuing bilateral cooperation with India through health and investment initiatives. A delegation from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services met with Indian government ministries and pharmaceutical agencies to implement Memoranda of Understanding focused on medical care cooperation and the recognition of the Indian Pharmacopoeia. These discussions aimed to establish technical cooperation, training, and capacity building.

In tandem with health initiatives, the Solomon Islands High Commission participated in an investment session hosted by the Indian Oceania Business Association. High Commissioner Anthony Makabo presented priority sectors for foreign direct investment and outlined available incentives to strengthen commercial and trade ties between India and the Pacific region.
