Sony ULT POWER SOUND speaker expansion

Overview

Sony Electronics has expanded its ULT POWER SOUND series by introducing three new party speaker models: the ULT TOWER MAX, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER 5. The lineup is engineered for activities such as DJing, dancing, and karaoke, with a specific focus on delivering deep bass and high sound pressure.

To enhance low-frequency performance, the speakers utilize newly developed large circular woofers, expanded speaker cabinets, and ULT DUCT technology. Sound profiles were refined through collaborations with hip-hop creators, including Dot Da Genius, Daru Jones, DJ Dready, and Dennis ‘ROC. am’ Jones.

The series features a signature ULT button that allows users to toggle between four sound modes: ULT1 for deep bass, ULT2 for high sound pressure, FLAT for natural reproduction, and LIVE for a spatial performance feel. Additional technical features include various lighting modes, the Party Chain feature using Auracast to synchronize multiple speakers, and specific model capabilities.

Technical specifications for the models include the ULT TOWER MAX, which features three woofers, four tweeters, and a 2,150 W output with 360° Party Sound; the ULT TOWER 7, providing 420 W of output and up to 30 hours of battery life; and the ULT TOWER 5, which offers 300 W of power, up to 20 hours of autonomy, four handles, XLR connectivity, and an IPX4 waterproof rating.

In the Philippines, Sony launched these models at an event in Manila, announcing that the musical group SB19 has joined its ‘ULT Squad’ to participate in the brand’s promotional campaign.
