The competition involves 50 schools and includes disciplines such as athletics, basketball, and futsal. Public health initiatives have been expanded through the ‘Outubro Rosa’ campaign, which provides services such as Pap smear collections at various Basic Health Units (UBSs) to promote breast and cervical cancer prevention. Regarding environmental planning, the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment, Protection, and Animal Welfare (Sema) is scheduled to hold the 1st Municipal Workshop on Nature-Based Solutions (SbN) on November 4 and 5 at the Irmãos Villas-Bôas Botanical Garden. This workshop aims to train professionals in ‘Sponge City’ concepts, such as permeable sidewalks and rain gardens, to mitigate flooding and support the development of the North and South Park System along the Sorocaba River.
