While supporting the principle of outside investment, he noted a lack of consultation with FIFA members regarding the process. Defending his tenure against criticisms of governance and financial instability, Jordaan cited progress in player development, noting that South Africa’s Under-17, Under-20, and senior men’s teams all reached FIFA World Cups in the same cycle. However, reports indicate ongoing challenges, including regional funding shortages and a lack of audited financial statements in certain areas.
