As the October 4, 2026, regional and municipal elections approach, the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status (Reniec) is facilitating identity document access. To support voters, the agency has processed over 351,000 online duplicate DNI requests for adults as of August 2026. Citizens can utilize the official Reniec website for these requests, using the DNI BioFacial mobile application for identity validation and facial photography when migrating to an electronic DNI.
