Academic institutions in South America are focusing on structural reforms, regional expansion, and resource management. In early September 2026, discussions in Argentina and Paraguay included a symposium on historical climate resilience and a call for a second university reform described as an ‘academic, pedagogical, and curricular revolution’ to address systemic challenges.
