South Carolina upsets No. 11 Tennessee with walk-off field goal

South Carolina secured a 27-24 comeback victory against No. 11 Tennessee at Williams-Brice Stadium on October 24, 2026. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers led the rally, accounting for three touchdowns, including a rushing score with 1:17 remaining to tie the game.

With 33 seconds left, South Carolina defender Dylan Stewart recorded a strip sack on Tennessee quarterback George MacIntyre. Defensive tackle Tomiwa Durojaiye recovered the resulting fumble at the Tennessee 34-yard line, setting up Malik Orsan for a 48-yard walk-off field goal as time expired.

The victory marks South Carolina’s second consecutive win over a ranked opponent. However, the celebration was marred by fans storming the field, which violated SEC access to competition area policies. The Southeastern Conference announced that South Carolina will be fined $500,000 for the incident, a penalty that will be paid to Tennessee.
