The Spain’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility continues its summer‑long upgrade programme across the country. Ongoing works extensive infrastructure upgrades. Key railway developments include weekday lane closures on ADIF awarding a €4.1 million contract for Granada station redesign, drafting projects for the Atlantic highway (A‑8) Bobadilla–Algeciras line, and the Oviedo‑Villaviciosa stretch of executing electrification for the A‑64 in Asturias, with night‑time Málaga–Sevilla high-speed link. Additionally, gauge conversion work funded with €33.9 million has been tendered for CCTV, incident detection, ventilation, lighting and fire‑protection upgrades. ADIF is refurbishing the 69‑km Ronda‑Bobadilla line in Andalusia, adding a third track, completing electrification, installing substations, widening tunnels Mediterranean Corridor, and stabilising slopes, keeping train services suspended for an estimated 13 months. In Soria, the A‑15 continuation Alicante–Elche railway variant has reached about 18 % cleared environmental studies. Road projects include the approval of an N-320 highway variant near Guadalajara, a €952 million overhaul study for the Fuensáuco‑Villar del Campo section, targeting service entry by mid‑2029. N-430 corridor, and the design of a new A-58 autovía. The submarine electricity cable A-74 coastal highway in Ceuta is awaiting technical tests on Lugo and a new Endesa sub‑station.
