Spanish musical ensembles performing international tours
Overview
Spanish musical groups are conducting international tours to promote Spanish culture and regional heritage.
In late September, the Coro de Fuentearmegil, a choral ensemble from Soria, began a tour in Belgium. Led by Héctor Díez Berzosa, the group performed Spanish repertoire at landmarks including the National Basilica of Brussels and the cathedrals of Ghent and Bruges, and participated in an official reception at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union.
In October, the Dúo Belcorde announced upcoming performances in Geneva, Switzerland, and Valletta, Malta, for November. The duo, consisting of Manuel Briega Román and Adrián Fernández Arcediano, plans to present programs featuring Spanish composers and works inspired by the era of Cervantes. The Ciudad Real Provincial Council has expressed support for the group’s mission to promote the province globally.
