Spanish women's futsal preseason developments

Spanish women’s futsal clubs are navigating various preseason developments as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Fundación Cajasol Andalucía, the defending champion of Liga Iberdrola and Copa de la Reina, has commenced training in Dos Hermanas. Under coach Ricardo Torronteras, the squad has undergone significant changes with the addition of several new players. Captain Sasa Barón indicated that despite a largely new roster, the team maintains high ambitions. Some members, including Bianca Polo and María Reis, are currently participating in international duty for Spain and Portugal.

Conversely, Fútbol Sala Femenino Caspe is experiencing a player shortage following the departure of several key players, including captain Ana Vergés. The senior squad has been reduced to seven players and is currently without a goalkeeper. To ensure participation in the season, the club requires at least ten players and has issued an open call for women of all ages and experience levels to join training sessions.
