Spirit Halloween 2026 pop‑up expansion

Overview

In late July, Spirit Halloween announced a broad rollout of seasonal pop‑up stores across the United States, opening twelve locations in Louisiana and unveiling a flagship store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, with a free outdoor festival to mark the launch.

By early August, the seasonal rollout expanded into Maryland and Michigan. In Maryland, the retailer began opening at least 21 locations in former retail spaces, including sites in Annapolis, Hagerstown, and Wheaton. In Michigan, operations commenced with a location in Portage, while further openings in areas such as Kalamazoo were scheduled for later in the month.

By mid-August, the company reached a scale of more than 1,550 locations across the United States and Canada. The 2026 season introduced a new in-store experience titled ‘Camp Harbor Lake’ at select sites, featuring an ‘80s horror-inspired theme and new animatronics such as the Trash Bandit and Willow Witch. The Canadian expansion included a new location in Victoria on Vancouver Island, situated in a former Forever 21 space. The seasonal product lineup features costumes based on franchises including Spider-Man, Toy Story, and Fortnite, in addition to classic horror and mythology themes.

Expansion efforts continued in New Jersey with the announcement of a new location at the Manahawkin Commons Shopping Mall on Route 72, situated near Regal Cinemas. The retailer has begun hiring for this site as part of its ongoing seasonal setup.
