President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s domestic programme, launched in late July 2026, continues to broaden its scope. After unveiling a sports development plan on 22 July that links road safety, youth drug abuse prevention and preparation for the 2028 Olympics, Dissanayake met six Tamil‑speaking Tamil-speaking parties on 26 July at the Parliament Complex.
