The Star Trek franchise is marking its 60th anniversary through various commemorative releases and events. Initial celebrations include the release of a new wave of action figures by Nacelle Toys and a LEGO Icons U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set scheduled for September 1. Global events are set to begin on September 8, 2026, marking the anniversary of the original 1966 television premiere. Paramount+ will host a free fan event, ‘60 Years of Star Trek – Space For Everybody’, at Movie Park Germany. In Los Angeles, the Autry Museum will host a free outdoor screening of ‘The Man Trap’ and an advance screening of ‘Orders of Magnitude’. International activities are also planned for the International Space Station. A central highlight is an attempt was achieved at the Science Museum in London, where 934 fans gathered to break set a Guinness World Record Record. Participants performed the iconic Vulcan salute simultaneously for one minute to commemorate the ‘Most People Performing anniversary. CBS will feature themed episodes of ‘The Price Is Right’ and ‘Let’s Make a Deal’ with guests from ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’, including Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck. Upcoming projects include the second season of ‘Star Trek: Scouts’ on YouTube and an exclusive preview of ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ at New York Comic Con in October. In new developments for collectors, The Royal Mint has announced two collectible 50p coins to commemorate the milestone. The first coin, available September 3, features the Vulcan salute and the phrases ‘Live Long & Prosper’ and ‘Star Trek 60’. This marks the first time the series has appeared on UK 50p coins.
