The Star Trek franchise is marking its 60th anniversary through various commemorative releases and events. Initial celebrations include the release of a new wave of action figures by Nacelle Toys and a LEGO Icons U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set scheduled for September 1. Global events are set to begin on September 8, 2026, marking the anniversary of the original 1966 television premiere. Paramount+ will host a free fan event, ‘60 Years of Star Trek – Space For Everybody’, at Movie Park Germany. In Los Angeles, the Autry Museum will host a free outdoor screening of ‘The Man Trap’ and an advance screening of ‘Orders of Magnitude’. International activities are also planned for the International Space Station. In new developments for collectors, The Royal Mint has announced two collectible 50p coins to commemorate the milestone. The first coin, available September 3, features the Vulcan salute and the phrases ‘Live Long & Prosper’ and ‘Star Trek 60’. This marks the first time the series has appeared on UK 50p coins.
