The ‘Stranger Things’ franchise is expanding through new media formats and upcoming streaming content. Chronologically, the story takes place between the second and third seasons of the original live-action series. The season follows the Hawkins Investigators Club—including Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Nikki—as they attempt to return to normalcy following their battle with the Horde Queen. The group encounters new supernatural threats, including mysterious blue flowers, ghostly apparitions known as ‘hate sprites’, and a mysterious blue entity that appears resistant to Eleven’s powers.
