As part of this agreement, DATA Network will migrate from its independent blockchain to operate as a native protocol on the Sui network. Following the migration, the original DATA chain will be decommissioned, and existing tokens will be converted to the Sui network at a one-to-one ratio. The DATA Foundation plans to utilize Walrus as its default data storage layer. The integration will include the DATA Network’s Trace registry, which tracks the origin and licensing of AI training data, into the Sui ecosystem. The transition to the Sui network is intended to improve economic efficiency and avoid duplicating existing infrastructure.
