Super Netball player contract updates

Overview

Several netball players have secured roles as training partners for the 2027 Super Netball season in Australia.

Monika ‘Otai has re-signed with the Sydney Sirens. A 21-year-old shooter and former Australian Fast5 captain, she joins a group of training partners including Eva Carneiro, Matilda Fanning, and Skye Thompson. Meanwhile, Freddie Schneideman will continue as a training partner for the NSW Swifts while rehabilitating from an ACL injury.

The NSW Swifts have also retained two other young players. Sophia Martinussen, a 19-year-old shooter with international experience in Samoa, has re-signed as a training partner. Additionally, goal shooter Nicola Barge is set to continue her progression with the club following her transition from training partner to making her Super Netball debut during the 2026 season.
