SV League women's volleyball season in Japan

Overview

The SV League women's volleyball season commenced with competitive matches across Japan. On October 17, the KUROBE Aqua Fairies opened their season with a straight-set victory against Almare Akita Shonai, led by Day Giovanna’s 26 successful attacks.

By late October, home openers for other teams showed increased competition. The Okayama Seagulls utilized new talent, including Kaho Wakaizumi and Jade Eliza Wright, to push the Saitama Ageo Medics to a close 1-3 loss before securing their first win of the season. In Kurobe, the Aqua Fairies faced Toray Arrows Shiga in a narrow 2-3 defeat, despite a strong start from Chinese national team player Gong Xiangyu. Coach Gen Kawakita identified the management of opposing foreign players at the net as a primary area for team improvement.
