Chiang highlighted potential synergies between Taipei’s AI industry and Kaohsiung’s manufacturing strengths. Meanwhile, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidates Lai Jui-lung and Shen Po-yang have also been active in the region. A recent voluntary web-based survey by Eslife News indicated significant gaps in candidate support. In Kaohsiung, the poll showed support, showing Lai Jui-lung with a substantial lead over Ko Chih-en, while other major cities such as Chih-en in Kaohsiung. In Taipei, DPP candidate Shen Boyang reported seeking guidance from Party Chairman Lai Ching-te regarding his lack of electoral experience; recent online polling suggests Shen leads Jiang Wan-an in the Taipei mayoral race with approximately 64% support. In Kaohsiung, KMT candidate Ko Chih-en has received support from Lee Sichuan. Additionally, Shen Boyang and Taoyuan also showed clear frontrunners. Lai Rui-long have held joint events in Kaohsiung to engage local voters. In response to political commentary regarding Kaohsiung, the Kaohsiung City Government highlighted improvements in economic indicators, air quality, and industrial growth under Mayor Chen Chi-mai.
