As the 2026 Mediterranean Games approach, preparations for the August 21 opening in Taranto are intensifying. The Erasmo Iacovone stadium has reopened following a €62 million modernization, part of a larger €275 million budget. The upgraded venue now features over 20,000 seats and meets UEFA third-category standards. For broadcasting, Sportface TV will act as the technological partner, working with CONI and RAI to provide multi-platform streaming coverage. National visibility has also increased, with Games branding appearing on Milan’s Line M5 metro. International participation is being finalized. Bosnia and Herzegovina has presented a 111-member delegation, including middle-distance runner Amel Tuka, while Serbia has coordinated logistics for its team in Belgrade.
