Technological and scientific festivals in Montenegro

Overview

In September 2026, Montenegro hosted several events focused on technological advancement and scientific engagement.

Budva hosted the INFOFEST digital transformation festival, which centered on the theme ‘Human in the Loop.’ The event aimed to explore the practical applications of artificial intelligence and the intersection of automated technology with human judgment, involving leaders from the ICT, telecommunications, and public administration sectors.

Following this, the 14th Science and Innovation Festival opened in Bar under the theme ‘Science travels, innovations connect.’ The event utilized an EXPO-style format with 25 exhibition stands to bring science closer to the public, featuring fields such as robotics, virtual reality, ecology, and physics.

The festival’s program was organized by age groups, with specific days dedicated to primary and high school students. Highlights included demonstrations from the National Robotics League and a humanoid robot developed through a collaboration between Five Group and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The ceremony was opened by Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, who emphasized the importance of “fostering curiosity and making science accessible to younger generations outside of traditional laboratory settings.”
