In mid-2026, the Reddy government initiated several welfare and development programs, including a movement activist recognition committee, a women’s self-help group program to create ten million millionaires by 2034, and free breakfast schemes for schoolchildren. Women-focused benefits were expanded to include free RTC bus travel, housing in women's names, and free electricity. During late July, the administration focused on rural development and education. Chief Minister Reddy met with Union officials to request 1.156 million houses under the PMAY-G scheme and ten new livelihood activities to mitigate El Niño-related drought. Educational reforms included the establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools, upgrades to public schools, and a new announcement for government-funded annual foreign study tours for teachers. To bolster employment, the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) was launched to assist youth in finding work abroad. The government also unveiled an economic roadmap targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2037 and $3 trillion by 2047, centered on the 30,000-acre Bharat Future City. In August, the administration expanded its international reform agenda. Chief Minister Reddy met with U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor to request increased student visas and deeper collaboration in AI. However, the Ministry of External Affairs denied political clearance for Reddy’s proposed visit to the United States, stating the programme was ‘not appropriate to the office held and the purpose of the visit.’ This denial followed controversy regarding a tentative meeting with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, which BJP leaders criticized by alleging Mamdani holds anti-India views.
