Telltale Games The Wolf Among Us Remastered release

Overview

Telltale Games announced the upcoming release of ‘The Wolf Among Us Remastered’, scheduled for October 29, 2026. The project aims to honor the studio’s legacy and prepare for the sequel, ‘The Wolf Among Us 2’.

Initial details indicated that the remaster would feature rebuilt character models, updated textures, refined animations, and new lighting, while preserving the original story and visual identity. Subsequent updates revealed additional features, including an optional ‘noir mode’ for a high-contrast black and white experience, five previously cut playable scenes, over an hour of behind-the-scenes interviews, and a gallery of more than 100 pieces of concept art.

On October 16, 2026, Telltale Games announced an indefinite delay for the Nintendo Switch version of the title. The studio stated that additional time is required to complete optimization and ensure the experience meets player expectations for that console. While the Switch release is postponed, the launch schedule for other platforms remains unchanged; the game is still set to release on October 29, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
