TF1 The Voice Kids season 12 launch and finale
Overview
TF1 has concluded the twelfth season of ‘The Voice Kids’, which premiered on August 22, 2026. The competition featured sixty singers aged 6 to 15, hosted by Nikos Aliagas, with a coaching panel consisting of Patrick Fiori, Santa, Matt Pokora, and Soprano.
The season introduced new gameplay mechanics such as ‘Gages’, ‘Block’, and ‘Call to a friend’, alongside challenges like ‘Shaker’ and ‘Top chrono’. Digital creator Laure Gonnet served as a backstage mentor, while Marine joined the production as a ‘Super-Coach’ to assist the coaches.
The grand finale aired on October 3, 2026. In a departure from previous seasons, the finale was pre-recorded, with the winner determined by the studio audience via electronic voting devices rather than live television viewers. To reach the Super Finale, coaches selected one talent from each of their two-person teams. The final four contestants were Nelson (Team Matt Pokora), Alec (Team Santa), Jude (Team Patrick Fiori), and Lena (Team Soprano).
Nelson, a 14-year-old singer from Martinique, was crowned the winner. During the competition, Nelson noted a strong bond with his coach, Matt Pokora, whom he described as feeling like a ‘big brother’. The finale also featured guest performances by Mentissa, Ycare, RnBoi, and Claudio Capéo.
