Overview

In early August 2026, the Thai government and PTT Station implemented measures to lower retail gasoline and gasohol prices by 0.70 baht per litre. To protect households from global energy volatility, the government also froze the price of 15-kg cooking gas cylinders at 423 baht through October 31, supported by an increased subsidy from the Energy Ministry. These actions contributed to a deficit in the national Oil Fuel Fund exceeding 71.8 billion baht.

By September 2, 2026, fuel prices in Thailand rose again. PTT and Bangchak Corporation announced increases of 0.60 baht per litre for gasoline and gasohol, while diesel and Diesel B20 prices saw a larger increase of 0.75 baht per litre.
