The ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ franchise has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 57 million copies in cumulative global sales across its light novels and manga, which are translated into 16 languages. In conjunction with this commercial success, a third season of the anime series has been announced. The season is scheduled to premiere on October 2, 2026, in Japan, and will be split into two parts, with the second half expected to air in April 2027. The film is expected to feature an original story written by the series creator, Natsu ~~Hyuga.~~ Hyuga, involving a mystery regarding hidden treasure in a water city. The production is being handled by TOHO Animation and studio OLM, directed by Norihiko Naganuma. While the Japanese release is confirmed, international release dates have not yet been announced. Key voice actors Aoi Yuki and Takehito Koyasu are set to return, with Mariya Ise joining the cast.
