A new feature film, titled ‘The Apothecary Diaries: The Deceased Empress’ Treasure’ (also referred to as ‘The Deceased Concubine’s Treasure’), is slated for release in Japanese theaters on December 11, 2026. The film is expected to feature an original story written by the series creator, Natsu Hyuga, involving a mystery regarding hidden treasure in a water city. The production is being handled by TOHO Animation and studio OLM, directed by Norihiko Naganuma. While the Japanese release is confirmed, international release dates have not yet been announced. Key voice actors Aoi Yuki and Takehito Koyasu are set to return, with Mariya Ise joining the cast.
