The Linda Lindas album release and label transition

Overview

The Los Angeles-based punk quartet The Linda Lindas has transitioned from the independent label Epitaph to the major label Reprise/Warner Records. This move was intended to allow the band to retain rights to their master recordings while maintaining their creative direction.

The band released their third studio album, ‘Gotta Get Out’, which involved exploring ‘emo and sad vibes’ through a collaborative songwriting process. To support the release, the group launched a Victorian-themed music video for the track ‘Everybody Told Me’.

Following the album launch, the band scheduled various performances, including a show at Summit Music Hall on September 23 alongside bands Capture This and VIAL. The performers have highlighted their lineup as a step toward representation in the historically male-dominated punk and alternative music scenes.
