The Who anniversary album reissue announcements

Overview

The rock band The Who has announced the release of major anniversary Super Deluxe box sets for two classic albums.

The first release, a Super Deluxe edition of ‘Who’s Next | Life House’, is scheduled for September 15. This 10-CD set includes 155 tracks, featuring 89 previously unreleased songs and 57 new remixes, alongside a Blu-ray with Atmos and 5.1 surround mixes by Steven Wilson.

A second release commemorates the 50th anniversary of ‘The Who By Numbers’ on October 30. This 5-CD/1-Blu-ray set contains 92 unreleased audio tracks, including original demos by Pete Townshend, and unreleased video footage from a 1975 concert in Michigan and a 1976 performance in Wales. The package also includes a 100-page book featuring photography and commentary.
