TikTok logistics and e-commerce expansion in Vietnam

TikTok is expanding its logistics and e-commerce presence in Vietnam. The company is participating in a nearly $1 billion logistics project in Ho Chi Minh City through Swift Logistics Co., Ltd. TikTok is contributing $196 million, or 20 percent, toward the total investment. This project, which has a 50-year operating term, is expected to begin activities in November and will focus on postal services, delivery, market research, and management consulting.

In conjunction with its infrastructure expansion, TikTok Shop has announced new operational costs for its Vietnamese platform. Starting October 12, 2026, a “logistics operation fee” will be applied to heavy packages weighing over 10kg. These fees, ranging from 3,000 VND to 65,000 VND, will be charged to sellers and deducted from order settlements. The platform noted that these fees are non-refundable to sellers even in cases of customer returns or refunds.
